The spotted gar has been reported from the Conasauga and Ochlockonee River systems and Lake Lanier, but no specimens have been confirmed.

Basin Distribution in Georgia:

In Georgia, occurs in the Tennessee, Coosa, Chattahoochee, and Flint River basins.
